Principal's Message

 

Welcome to Middle College High School at HCC Fraga—a place where potential is nurtured, challenges are embraced, and students are empowered to shape their own futures.

As a second-generation educator with more than 25 years in public education, I have had the privilege of serving in many roles: teacher, Magnet Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, and now, in my second year as Principal of this extraordinary campus. Each role has deepened my belief in the transformative power of education and the promise that lives within every student.

At Fraga, we serve a unique community of learners—students who may not have thrived in traditional high school settings, but who deserve every opportunity to grow, succeed, and graduate ready for college, career, and life. Through our partnership with Houston Community College, our students gain early exposure to college-level courses and a supportive environment that values individual identity, voice, and growth.

Despite the challenges that come with leading a small school during a time of systemic change, my team and I remain committed to providing a high-quality, caring, and structured educational experience for every student who walks through our doors. We believe that success is not about where you start, but how you are supported to keep going.

Our mission is rooted in high expectations, strong relationships, and the unshakable belief that every young person has something extraordinary to contribute. We’re here to help them discover it.
