CCMR

College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR)
At Fraga High School, we are committed to preparing every student not just for graduation, but for a successful future beyond high school. One key measure of this preparation is College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR).
All students will have the opportunity to meet CCMR criteria through different pathways. The most common options available on our campus include:
- Texas College Bridge (TCB): An online program focused on preparing students for college-level coursework. Students who complete the TCB requirements in English and/or Math demonstrate readiness for college and may earn a CCMR point.
- TSI (Texas Success Initiative Assessment): A state exam that measures college readiness in Reading, Writing, and Math. While TSI is more rigorous than TCB, passing scores can also earn students valuable CCMR points.
- Advanced Placement (AP) Exams: Students who score a 3 or higher on certain AP exams may qualify for CCMR. This path requires strong academic performance and preparation. GT students must be enrolled in 2 AP classes each year that will offer the exam opportunity.
- Career and Technical Education (CTE) Business Pathway: Students who follow a structured plan from freshman year and successfully complete our Business Program sequence (including coursework and industry certification) may also meet CCMR criteria.
- Stukent Social Media Certification. As part of our Career and Technical Education (CTE) Business Program, students at Fraga High School have the opportunity to earn the Stukent Social Media Certification, a recognized industry credential that supports both career readiness and CCMR qualification. This certification is embedded in our Social Media Marketing course, which introduces students to essential digital marketing principles, including:
- Content creation strategies
- Branding and audience targeting
- Social media analytics
- Paid vs. organic advertising
- Platform-specific best practices (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.)
By the end of the course, students take the Stukent certification exam, which, if passed, qualifies them for a CCMR point under the Industry-Based Certification (IBC) pathway.
Key Details:
-
- Recommended for Juniors and Seniors in the Business/Marketing pathway
- Requires active participation and completion of online modules through the Stukent platform
- Prepares students for real-world roles in digital marketing, content creation, and entrepreneurship
- Can be listed on résumés, LinkedIn profiles, and job/college applications
- Earning this certification not only helps fulfill CCMR requirements, but also opens doors to immediate career opportunities and enhances college applications.
- Students interested in this certification should speak with the business program instructor early in the year to ensure proper course enrollment and pacing.
CCMR is a critical indicator of post-secondary readiness and is treated as a priority expectation at Fraga. Our goal is for every student to graduate with a CCMR distinction, ensuring they are equipped for college, career, or military service.
In the past, many seniors earned their CCMR point in the final months of the school year. However, this last-minute approach often caused unnecessary stress and risk. Going forward, our goal is to have at least 90% of seniors meet CCMR requirements by the end of the first semester, and 100% by the end of February 2026. This early completion target allows students to focus on scholarships, college applications, and other senior-year goals without the added pressure of last-minute CCMR deadlines.
We encourage students and families to take full advantage of all readiness opportunities offered at Fraga and to partner with our staff to ensure every student has a clear and timely path to success.
