Dual Credit

Ms. Juarez will work with our students in dual credits, together with the HCC staff in our building, including Ms. Mary L. Rodriguez, the College Director, Southeast.

Dual credit in high school is a program that allows students to earn both high school and college credit at the same time by taking specific courses, often in partnership with a local college or university.

Here's how it works:

  • Courses: Students enroll in college-level classes that count toward their high school graduation and their future college degree.

  • Location: Classes may be taken at Fraga, or at HCC in our same lot.

  • Instructors: Courses are taught by college professors or high school teachers who are approved as adjunct faculty by the college.

Benefits:

  • Save Time & Money: Students can complete college credits early, reducing the time and cost of a college degree.

  • College Experience: Students experience the rigor and expectations of real college courses while still in high school.

  • Improved Readiness: Helps students transition more smoothly into post-secondary education.
